Job Description

The Immokalee Foundation provides scholarships and a range of educational programs that are Building Pathways to Success for the Children of Immokalee. The organization is highly ranked by Charity Navigator and features an engaged board of directors.

The Development Coordinator supports the development department in all aspects of fundraising including but not limited to database management, assisting with special events, annual fund campaigns and other donor stewardship initiatives. The Development Coordinator must maintain high standard of excellence in all internal and external communications and relationships. This position is based in the Naples, FL office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead all database initiatives, including gift entry, report generation and acknowledgement letters

 Oversee Development mailings and work as direct liaison with print and design companies

 Support Development team in event planning functions; e.g., attendee tracking, event files and internal calendars, and participate in event committees

 Work in tandem with Program Services Office to plan special events

 Maintain social media profiles and generate content for each platform

 Communicate with other departments in connection with program priorities and donor relations

 Assist with phone and communications, providing timely, engaging interaction

 Perform all other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree

 Experience using Raiser’s Edge or similar development software

 Knowledge of general principles, methods and practices of the non-profit development profession

 Extremely detail oriented and organized, with the strong ability to successfully multi- task as necessary or requested.

 Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to interface with all levels of staff and volunteers.

 Excellent interpersonal skills and must be a self-starter, with the ability to work comprehensively as a team.

 Ability to assist with and lead multiple long- and short-term projects/events simultaneously, meeting all related deadlines with the ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate and manage own work.
