Title: Community Outreach Coordinator
Summary: Responsible for overseeing our annual fundraising program including, but not limited to, direct mail appeals, online campaigns, annual fund campaigns, prospect research, event planning, fundraising plans, donor appreciation, grant research, grant writing, planned giving, donor database management, etc. Provide support for marketing and communication efforts to help Providence House achieve our fundraising goals.
Responsibilities include fundraising, online marketing and communication, graphic design and publication production, event planning support, tours of our campus, speaking events, and other general duties.

Write annual appeal letters and emails. Manage the printing, mailing and online distribution of fundraising appeals. Create online fundraising pages. Develop annual fund campaign plans. Perform research on prospects, update and maintain donor database, and use it to engage potential donors. Perform grant research and submit grant proposals. Acknowledge donor activities, including thank you letters, phone calls, events, etc.
Online Marketing and Communication:
Increase social media presence. Establish and manage donor management system. Develop and manage targeted e-marketing lists. Design e-marketing templates. Other duties in support of online marketing and communications.
Graphic Design and Publication Production:
Prepare brochures, programs, banners and other materials as needed. Create and edit graphics as needed for use on the website, e-newsletters, PowerPoints, social media, etc. Coordinate with other development, marketing and graphic design professionals on behalf of Organization.
Event Planning and Support:
Coordinate with Committee regarding fundraising event logistics, programs/save the dates, and e-promotions. Assist with guest lists, seating charts, name tags, day of event set-up, registration, and other support as needed. Advertise events in local publications.
Reports to Executive Director. Communicate with clients, donors, vendors and Organization employees by phone, email and in person. Research information for use in development work. Prepare reports on work activities and progress toward Organization objectives. Collaborate with other employees, interns and volunteers. Participate in professional associations in fundraising, marketing, communication, and/or public relations. Stay informed on the latest developments within the fundraising, marketing, communication, and public relations fields. Other general duties in support of the Organization’s mission.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred (degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred).
Professional experience in fundraising and/or nonprofit marketing, communications or public relations preferred.
Specific Knowledge / Skills Required: Customer service; English language and grammar; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Proficiency in MS Word; Fundraising practices, principles and ethics.
Specific Knowledge / Skills Preferred: Little Green Light; MS Office; social media; graphic design software; online marketing, including use of email marketing.
