Philanthropy Coordinator

Job Description:

Due to recent growth Guadalupe Center is adding to its Philanthropy Program.


The Philanthropy Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Philanthropy and VP of Philanthropy to schedule donor tours and meetings, prepare proposals and reports and coordinate internal processes ensuring the successful execution of the annual plan specific to major gifts and grants. Ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate a small but busy team of professionals.


  • Assist in scheduling donor tours and meetings for VP of Philanthropy and Director of Philanthropy
  • Help with preparation of proposals and presentations for major donors
  • Coordinate stewardship process for major donors and maintain calendar
  • Make thank you calls and assign thank you calls to the Philanthropy Team
  • Pull weekly action reports for the major gift/grant team for face to face meetings, and asks
  • Coordinate and assist in drafting major donor communications
  • Maintain grant calendar via Raiser’s Edge/NXT
  • Assist in planning and executing major donor stewardship events as needed


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge is preferred but not required
  • Experience with MS Office Suite including: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint required


  • Ability to motivate individuals

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while effectively being part of a team
  • Excellent computer skills (including Word, Excel)
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge software a plus
  • Ability to respond creatively and diplomatically to conflicting priorities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Clearance through local, state and federal background checks


  • Indoor office environment
  • This position requires some evening and weekend work hours and regional travel.
  • Exposure to outdoor environment during special events
  • May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties
  • Minimal lifting may be required not to exceed 25 pounds
  • May be required to transport oneself and/or supplies off-site to attend meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars, etc.
